A practical course focused on improving clarity, confidence, and intelligibility in spoken English
Course Content
Students are asked to send an audio of themselve reading a text which the teacher sends to them in advance of class. The audio is then analysed by the instructor so areas of weakness can be identified ahead of the first lesson. Classes focus on;
- Rythm and timing
- Individual sounds (vowels and consants) that commonly cause difficulty
- Word stress & syllable structure
- Connected speech including linking and glide sounds
- Weak forms
- Reduced pronouns
